VOLUNTEER SIGN UP
We can’t pull off Wize ‘N Up without YOU! Please review the teams below and then use the form to sign up for an area to serve. Thank you so much!
*Please note that Serve Teams will close as they fill up. If you don’t see the Serve Team of your choice on the registration form, it is most likely closed. Please reach out to Becklin with any questions or concerns. Thank you!
Participant: For kids going into 1st through 6th grade, this event is for you! Please use the 2025-2026 school year grade level when registering. Participant registration opening up in April! Stay tuned.
Coach: Coaches are assigned to one of 10 teams, and are responsible for keeping the team together, instilling energy, encouraging participation in the various aspects of the evening, engaging with kids, and building relationships throughout the week. Coaches will often get messy along with the children (encouraged but not required). Teams are designed based on age; you can select your preferred age group to coach when registering. Each team will require multiple coaches.
Registration Team: This team is responsible for processing registrations for WNU, making sure each participant receives their t-shirt and that we have all necessary documentation. They are also responsible for registering walk ups each night of WNU.
Connections Team: The Connections Team creates intentional and meaningful interactions with the parents/grown-ups who drop off and pick up kids participating in WNU. This team is also key to helping with the flow of people during guest registration (especially on the first night).
First Responder Team: Responsible for handling any medical emergencies and minor cuts/abrasions, this team is essential to ensuring we are prepared to calmly and effectively help those in need. First Aid & CPR certification is preferred.
Food Force Support: Jobs may include serving food or drink, restocking food lines, wiping down tables, emptying and taking out garbage, setting up tables, cleaning dishes and general clean up from dinner service. This team will arrive shortly before dinner service (around 4pm) and will finish when the dining room and kitchen are clean for the day (around 7pm).
Mini Wize ‘N Up: This team is responsible for caring for the children of those serving at WNU who are too young to participate. This program is designed to be a smaller, age-appropriate version of WNU.
Music and Skit Team: Do you play an instrument? Do you love to sing, dance, and perform? This may be the team for you! This team is a part of the indoor programming portion of WNU.
Outdoor Programming: These individuals are responsible for setting up and tearing down the outdoor (messy) games. Helping organize materials efficiently is a big part of this team.
Parking & Safety Team: Managing the flow of traffic and ensuring parking spaces are strategically filled. This team helps maintain safety and efficiency by greeting everyone and directing traffic during arrival and departure each night of WNU. The safety team also ensures that everyone is well taken care of and having fun in a secure environment.
Potty Runner: Potty Runners are a vital role! Potty Runners allow coaches to remain with their teams while they do just that: run kids to the bathrooms. Both males and females are needed for this role, and must be over 18 to serve in this role.
Prayer Team: Providing on-site prayer before, during and after the event each night, this team serves several 30-minute shifts each night to lift up the event, serving teams, participants, and families in prayer.
