SERMON SERIES | GOD OF SECOND CHANCES
You can run from God, but you can’t outrun Him! Jonah discovered that the hard way when God called him to go to Nineveh—and Jonah decided he had a better plan. Sound familiar? Throughout the story of Jonah, we’ll see that God is sovereign over the storm, the sea, the fish, the city of Nineveh, and even the reluctant prophet He called. What God intends to accomplish will ultimately come to pass, but Jonah’s story reminds us how much easier life can be when we simply trust God and obey Him without delay. Perhaps the most beautiful part of Jonah’s story is God’s amazing mercy and grace. God’s heart was not only for Jonah, but also for the people of Nineveh—even people Jonah didn’t believe deserved God’s compassion. Through this unusual story, we’ll discover just how wide God’s mercy reaches and how deeply He cares about ALL people. And then there’s Jonah himself. God gave him another opportunity to get it right—a SECOND CHANCE. That ought to encourage all of us! When we disobey, ignore God, or choose our own way, He doesn’t give up on us. His grace continues to pursue us and call us back to Himself. Over these four Sundays in October, we’re going to learn a lot about Jonah—but even more about God, His incredible mercy, and ourselves.

LADIES BIBLE STUDY | MONDAY NIGHTS @ 6:30pm & TUESDAY MORNINGS @ 9:15am
Ladies ~ Join us on Mondays beginning August 31st or Tuesday mornings beginning September 1st as we journey into the life and ministry of the apostle Paul. We will find him to be a man of incredible faith, who formed deep friendships, loved heartily, and challenged all to follow Jesus with a whole heart! He was a sold-out servant of God. Paul declared, “to live is Christ and to die is gain.” Don’t miss this semester in Bible study. You will not regret the time you spend in this study. Monday nights, 6:30 pm. Tuesday mornings, 9:15 am. Cost is $25 for materials. Sign up at the first study you attend.
