Michael Keel
Next Steps Pastor
michaelk@milestoneschurch.com

  • Michael joined the staff in 2015. He and his wife Erin have a daughter, Calli, and a son, John-David. In his free time, he likes to take a walk with Erin, watch old movies or tv shows with his family, play ball in the yard with his kids, and cheer on the UNC Tar Heels in basketball.

Something people may not know about Michael is that he’s softened his stance on what qualifies as a dessert…it can now include things other than chocolate. (But brownies with ice cream is still his favorite)!

Frank Gossett
Youth & College Pastor
frank@milestoneschurch.com

  • Frank joined the Milestones Staff in 2021. He has 4 girls in his house: his wife, Becklin, and his daughters Rigsbee Sutton, Henree Grace, and Murphee Marie. In his free time, Frank enjoys spending time with his family at the house, and he likes painting miniatures.

One thing that most people don't know about Frank is that he has won two High School State and National 8-man Football Championships.

Matt Forrester
Worship Leader
mattf@milestoneschurch.com

  • Matt joined the Milestones Staff in August 2023. He is married to Hannah. They have a dog named Benny and a cat named Stevie Nicks.

Matt loves spicy foods, and grows peppers to make fermented hot sauces.

Brenda Blankenship
Director of Women's Ministry
brenda@milestoneschurch.com

  • Brenda joined the Milestones Staff in 2000. She is married to Pastor Hub, with 4 brilliant children, Hub III, Zac, Becklin and Breelyn, 3 wonderful in-loves, Anni, Frank and Kieffer, and 4 adorable grandgirls, Rigsbee, LJ, Henree Grace, and Murphee. Brenda also has 1 grandson, Brooks Miller. She loves to read, write, play piano, compose, speak to women about God's plan for our lives, and sit in the sun!

Most people don't know that Leviticus has one of Brenda’s favorite Bible verses: "All the fat belongs to the Lord." Leviticus 3:16

Liza Chapman
Children's & Preschool Director
lizac@milestoneschurch.com

  • Liza started serving on staff in 2018. She has been married to Jeremy since December 2007.  They have two children. Ashton was born in 2012, and Ellis was born in 2015. In her free time, Liza substitute teaches at her children's school and spends her evenings and Saturdays watching Ashton play softball or Ellis at karate.

One thing people may not know about her is that in high school she was voted Most Dependable and Cutest, but had to choose one and pass the other to the runner-up. She went with Cutest. 🤣

Tricia Bryson
Administrative Assistant
triciab@milestoneschurch.com

  • Tricia is a member of Milestones, and our new Administrative Assistant. Tricia is married to Brian and the mother of Lexi, Anderson, Brantley, and Amelia.

Ben Coates
Elder
ben.coates@ngu.edu

  • Ben started serving as an elder in 2012. He is a Spanish professor at North Greenville University. He also serves as the Coordinator of the Spanish Education major and as Chair of the Department of Modern Languages and Linguistics.

His wife, Amanda, is also a Spanish teacher, and they have been able to do a lot of traveling together.  They’re able to bounce ideas off of each other for teaching their classes.  Ben & Amanda have three terrific children: Juliana, Ian, and Sofia.  The kids keep them busy and laughing.

Ben believes that Milestones is a welcoming church that preaches the Gospel faithfully and consistently.  People are urged to give Christ control of their lives and discover the plans that He has for them.

Todd Staley
Elder
mtstaley@spart7.org

  • Todd started serving as an elder in 2016. He is the Athletic Director at Spartanburg High School. He is married to Tracy. They have one son, Chase.

One of Todd’s favorite things about Milestones is the sense and feeling of community and family you get.
